Howdy, folks.

Before you get your undergarmets in a knot, I'm talking about a clip. En-Bloc Clip or Stripper Clips. Do you think it's a decent idea or is it more of an answer to a question no one asked?

Since there are so few "Box Magazine Fed" shotguns, probably not an idea that will be very popular.

In my way of thinking, to be able to use an en-bloc clip like the M1, the receiver would have to be very w-i-d-e.

Hmmmm how wide would say a 12-Ga "Double-Stack" magzine be? (Thinking of how the .30-06 ammo for an M1 clip is 'double-stack'

Regardless, the chances of it happening are slim to none.

Manufactures have to design, develop, and sell shotguns that appeal to the widest range of shooters possible in order to sell enough guns to stay in business.

Since hunters comprise the largest group of shotgun buyers, and many hunters hunt waterfowl, they are limited to three shots.
One in the chamber, and two in the magazine.

A 4 or 6 shot tube magazine can be easily plugged to hold two shells in about a minute or less.

But an en-block clip would have to be specially made to hold only two shells, and then others made to hold more.
And the receiver made big, heavy, & fugly enough to hold the ones with more.

Not something I can see anyone doing if they want to sell guns and stay in business. Especially since the most successful shotguns today were designed & perfected many years ago with tube magazines.

I think there is such as thing as a tube "clip" to load up an extended tube on a shotgun.

Doing the Google...It's called a TecLoader. Here is is:
