I doubt that many on this board are unaware of the horrific act of Adam Lanza in Sandy Hook Connecticut. However, I wonder how many of you are aware of the murder rampage that Chris Krumm recently went on. Chris drove from Connecticut to Casper Wyoming to commit murder, which he did without using a firearm.
Shortly after arriving in Casper, Chris drove to his father’s home on Hawthorne, and stabbed his father’s girlfriend to death. He left her body lying in the street and then drove about two miles to Casper College where he entered the building his father was teaching a class in. When Chris entered the classroom, he shot his father in the head with an arrow. Although mortally wounded, his father, Jim, fought with Chris and allowed the small number of students in the classroom to escape. Jim died in the classroom and Chris suicided by stabbing himself.
Chris started his trip to Casper from Vernon Connecticut and Sandy Hook is a straight drive down 84 from Vernon. It is extremely likely that Chris passed through Sandy Hook on I-84 on his way to Casper mere days before Adam Lanza went off the rails in that town.
So I’ve got some questions. Did Chris and Adam game together, perhaps in one of those splatter-gore video obscenities? Any chance they actually knew each other? Any mutual friends, social interaction through common websites, government programs for the mentally abnormal, or social workers? I don’t know, but I hope somebody’s looking into it. Is it coincidence or connection? That’s a question that needs to be answered.
Why do I have these questions? Because I used to live in the immediate area of the Krumm household. My daughter knew Chris in the normal social scene of kids close to the same age in the same neighborhood. If we hadn’t have moved, my daughter may have run across Chris on his return to Casper. Makes you think.
