Colorado "red flag" bill passes the House

It is clear that as soon as "liberals" have the upper hand, freedom will stop. Chain-step Communism will be the law of the land. To prevent any free thought or resistance, private guns will be a thing of the past. Think Schindler's list.

I just read the post from "The Liberal". Troll much?

Anyway... To answer a previous poster's question -- CO Springs is marginally better than Denver, and much better than The People's Republic of Boulder, but only because of the Air Force Academy, Peterson Field, and NORAD. Denver used to have Fitzsimons Army Medical Center and Lowry Air Force Base, but those are long gone. Colorado is increasingly blue, thanks in no small part to the influx of folks from the Left Coast over the years.

Other than the fact that I (as a non-lawyer) perceive red flag bills as written to trample all over the Fifth Amendment as well as the Second, they reminds me eerily of the Thought Police in the classic "1984" by George Orwell. In that, the ThinkPol monitor the citizens for crimes they MIGHT commit, and arrest anyone in a thoughtcrime that might challenge the status quo of the Party and the regime of Big Brother.

Sound familiar?
