Colt 1903 Stamping

Bought a Colt 1903 32 type IV made in 1927. The gun is mint and I just noticed on the bottom of the grip frame there is stamped in very small letters :

DEAC. AMHERST NH.

Thought was interesting. Doubt if I'll ever know much about it.

Can anyone tell me if there is a way to uncock the 1903 Model M besides pulling the trigger ?
