Colt Delta Elite For 2008

I have read on other forums that Colt is bringing back the Delta Elite 10mm for 2008. Has anyone heard of this? If so, I wonder what when they will be available?

Pretty cool.. i agree with what some of those people said about how the real good news is that there's a new interest in the 10mm cartridge. This means that manufacturers are listening to the people.

The thread about the XD manual safety had people saying that Springfield was listening when they decided to include a manual safety as an option for the XD pistol. All this good news makes me think Springfield is holding out on us with a 10mm XD compact. What I'd give for that...

My guess release date (just for fun) is April They just CANT let me down!

I'm going to have a hard time resisting a new production Delta Elite. I've heard rumor that the availability is targeted to begin late this year.

I'm really excited about this, I'm guessing they will sell very well for them since there's such a following.

As a buyer, it's a double-edged sword. I'll pay more than I would have most likely because there's going to be a high demand for them.

However, a strong showing on the pistol means that companies like Colt (known as a stick-in-the-mud company who didn't care about the civilian gun buyer for a period of time) will recognize a market and respond to it.

I hope it's not killer expensive...

A poster at GT said Fall release with a price around $950. I don't know how accurate that is but it is the only info I have run across.

They were supposed to be released in October. I called Colt a few months ago and they said the date was pushed back to the end of the year, or maybe next year.

They are starting to trickle out of Colt. I have seen two so far.

Don't you just love the way Colt markets their product? Err... Never mind. They apparently have no marketing department.

Does anyone have an opinion about the quality of the new ones? I know very little to nothing about 1911's in general, but being a 10mm fan, I have been curious about the Delta Elite for a while.
