Colt Detective 3 inch

Hello Everyone,

I am purchasing a Colt Detective 3 inch with the shroud under the barrel and it has the rubber grips on it. The serial number is: RD9xxx. Can anyone tell me when this revolver was made and is it alloy or steel. Also what is the value of this gun. It is about 98%. Regards, Bobby
