Colt Series 70's with adjustable sights

Found a series 70 Colt and it has adjustable sights (AS). Were there AS series 70's from the factory that were not National Match guns?

Last 5 digits of an 8 digit serial number are ---35G70

The sights are almost certainly aftermarket. I have a Series '70 whose last serial digits are "36G70" and it shipped with fixed sights.

Don't believe so... at least it wasn't cataloged. Colt's adjustable sighted gun at the time was the Gold Cup. I am aware of some gunsmith-built guns that had a Government Model frame and Gold Cup slide, but Colt didn't make such a combination. It is high probable that the adjustable sights now on the pistol were an aftermarket addition.
