I just joined the club with my first snake! An Anaconda 6" 44mag drilled and tapped from the custom shop! I am already looking for the next ones I want! And here is the one I acquired:

Get ready to make some visits to your shrinking bank account. Those snakes are addicting and can get expensive. But they are neat to have.

Know what you need? The mate in .45 Colt. I've got the same thing with
an eight inch barrel and have been asking my buddy to sell me his in .45.
I mean really, it just sits all alone in a dark closet!!! Think I'll start pleading! :)

Hello friends and neighbors // Premium firearm, Congrats.

A few months ago I was looking at a 6" Anaconda but decided to stick with .357 (I have not had a .44mag. since the early 1990s) so I bought two Pythons instead.

Last month a S&W M 29 -2 appeared in my safe and I'm enjoying shooting .44 sp/mag again.
Now I'm looking for an Anaconda to compare the two. ;)

If I don't get back into reloading soon, I won't be able to afford to shoot the guns I buy or buy more guns to shoot. It sure is fun building up a supply of brass though.:D

I have a snake fetish also. Left row: Anaconda, King Cobra and Python. Middle row is 2 Diamondbacks. Sorry about the picture quality, I'm still trying to figure this camera.

You guys are KILLING me! I've been thinking about the Anaconda for a month...and now I find they can be had in .45 Colt as well!?

Man! Those are good looking guns. I'm a lefty and find that Colts work better for me. I have two Diamondbacks, (a .22 and a .38 spec). I need a big bore too. The hunt is on!

I bought a new Anaconda around 1995. I was so disappointed with it I traded it off a year or two later and never mourned its departure. To me it was heavy, clunky and not at all attractive. I think the M29 is far more graceful in feel and appearance.

But I guess it's all a matter of personal taste. I'm sure a big part of of my displeasure with the Anaconda is due to my utter disdain for stainless.

Just noticed this thread, sorry I'm late guys! I bought a NIB Python back in '86, 6" beauty, still have her too. The one thing that sold me on this revolver is the deep bluing they used to put on them, mine still shines like the first day it saw sunlight! Sorry, not able to figure out how to post pics on here, but believe me, its still a shooter too !
