I'm headed to the Houston Livestock Show tomorrow (not going into Reliant stadium for the actual rodeo). We're going to hit the carnival, see the animals, etc.

Texas law prohibits concealed carry at a professional sporting event. I'm not sure where the sporting event begins: at the gate to the carnival or at the entrance to Reliant stadium where the rodeo is held?

Any thoughts from those more informed than I would be appreciated.

I like to carry whenever possible (even at home), so I want to carry tomorrow, but want to be legal as well.

Thanks!

Should be okay unless there is one ticket for the whole thing in which case you would have a hard time convincing a jury that you were there only for the carnival and not the rodeo itself.

You could probably get a more definitive answer over here: http://www.texaschlforum.com
