There is a reason they call it concealed.

Does not matter one bit here. Statute just references "carry"--open, concealed, under hat or in boat with a goat--it's all good, fershizzle. I believe openly discourages puma and bear attacks here though.

I live in Colorado, which is an open carry state, so I don't worry overmuch whether my concealed revolver is 158.937% concealed. I'm never careless, but I doubt there's much need to be hyper-scrupulous.
Frankly, I think "carry" ought to mean carry however you prefer to carry from coast to coast. I'd carry openly, and pack a bigger revolver more comfortably.

Given the popularity of such things as PDAs, cell phones and multi-tools, 99.99% of the people that do notice something under your shirt are not going to equate it to a firearm.

In TX if a "reasonable person" can tell you have a gun...it's not concealed.
If it prints and I can tell its a gun. (I'm reasonable

With most folks wearing cell phones on their belt I dont think people give a bulge under your shirt a second glance.
Of course if you have a bazooka under your shirt then its a different story

I had a woman at Walmart bump into my Steyr M40 and she said "I hope I didn't damage your cell phone". I just smiled and said "I'm sure its okay ... its been dropped a few times and still works."

Between my cell phone and Leatherman I can probably sneak in something pretty good sized without anyone noticing. Let's hear it for modern technology If it weren't for cellphones and pagers being so cheap (who even has a pager anymore?) stuff sticking off your belt is now the norm

I've mentioned this elsewhere but ... in PA concealed is supposed to mean concealed ....... there is always a potential for having the permit revoked (like it should even be a ''permit'' anyways) ..... if the piece is seen and then a complaint filed.
However ....... my interpretation of this ... and others think similarly .... is that a clear view of the piece is, obviously ....... a lack of concealment - it is in plain view (like my snub described in the ''CCW screw-up'' thread! )
OTOH ...... printing is I think not loosing concealment per se... simply ''suggesting'' that a piece might be there. As many have said - cell phones, Leathmen etc ... all contribute to the waistband 'clutter'' .... and many will not know one bulge from another!
The most distinctive part of the gun's anatomy for me is, the butt ... and maybe also the hammer area...... and if my shirt is a tad tight over the area ... or wind pressure flattens the fabric then it will almost certainly print somewhat. To get a complete outline of the piece tho thru printing is I think very unlikely ..... just possibly in a tight pocket.
Perhaps for me the safest carry, where printing is all but impossible, is in my sho rig .. little more than a slight bulge under arm, but my Fobus at 4.30 is still my preferred ... just switched back to P series now.

Here in my neck of the beach, people tend to think any bulge is a gun and will look harder. Some even boldly ask you and if you say 'No' they will ask you to prove otherwise. Some even go so far as to touch the spot. 
This is dangerous for us as gunmen target firearm holders.

Regardless of how different states or localities migiht come down on the issue of "printing" it still remains that concealed ought to means concealed. If you opt to carry concealed then you take on the responsibility of doing whatever it takes to keep your weapon truly concealed. Good shooting);

I realized this weekend that I'm just going to print.
IWB or OWB I can't seem to keep from printing.
I carry a Sig 239 most of the time but the only way I can think of not printing is to start carrying a pocket pistol of some kind.

I too Felt the same way, I was Paranoid for a while after getting my CHL, but, I never told any of my close friends that I had obtained it....... after being around them for several months without telling them, not one person ever asked me about what i thought was very noticable. One day I asked a couple of them after we spent all day working on my truck. They told me they would have never known. They were even more shocked after I told them I had been doing it for months. They all now want theirs. My wife never could tell when I asked her before I left the house, and the Only time I have been " made" was when My mom hugged me, she simply said " oh you're packin".... never mentioned it again she knows i have a CHL. My point is this. If people that Know you, close friends, Family don't notice it. A stranger won't either. You see the Print because you know its there...... Good Day

Just a quick note...as a holster maker I get this stuff all of the time. At first you will touch/adjust/rub/touch some more, your gun every day. It will subside as you relax and realize no one knows you are carrying a gun.
Hell half the people you run into may be carrying also.
My daughter of a very wise 7 years old is a bloody pro at spotting weapons..the slightest little line in the right place and shes on you.
After years of having her evaluate me for "printing" for new designs or new guns etc, shes really a pro!
We were at a fast food joint a couple of years ago. In a table next to us were 3 LEO's and a spouse of one of them.
My daughter was having a "fit"..she knows not to say anything to any one...but was truely worried about this cop for some reason. She carefully walks over to him and whispers in his ear. "Your printing when you walk around" He just looks at her shocked...."what do you mean"..."Your snubby in your tuckable is showing...I thought you should know" His eyes went like this
Mind you she was five or maybe just 6 years old. The cop walks over to me and I tell him Im a holster maker and she is very well trained.
He just shook her hand and told her "he hopes she grows up to be one of the good guys"...She said "I already am!"......All I could do was grin the whole way home.............PROUD AS HELL!.....

Can anyone tell me about concealing a 10mm Witness? I looked on Cheaperthandirt.com and all they had was a dizzying array of Uncle Mike's holsters, some of which wouldnt hold it.
The Witness is a 10rd 4.5in barrel. I am unsure of the model, as I havent bought it yet. But soon...

Whats your take on printing in Ark?
I interprept the law as only requiring the weapon be covered or concealed. Which goes back to the debate of flap holsters are as concealing as fanny packs.
