Concentricity !!!!!

I was wondering if concentricity is useful for pistol and revolver ammo for 50 yards??? I want your opinion on this subject please.
Is important for .38 special at 50 yards to check concentricity for a better accuracy or it's only for rifle

To a point, but a little isn't going to affect much in the way of accuracy unless you're chasing bughole groups.

I did an experiment once with a .308 bolt rifle by loading 10 rounds normally and another 10 in which I checked concentricity and carefully straightened them. The rifle was a tack-driver, so I knew that it would be a good test platform.

At 100 yards, the difference in the 10-shot groups was just under a quarter-inch. An additional .125 inch dispersion from POA in any given direction isn't going to make any practical difference on a deer clear out to the limits of the rifle, and to especially my limit as a field shot.

I do not believe it would make much difference in 50 yard Bullseye pistol.

As long as the bullets are consistent, and the reloads are consistent?
They will shoot better 50 yard groups then you can stand on your hind legs and shoot them.

When I shot competition our .38 revolver factory loads were 148 grain WC.

With the whole bullet inside the case, it would be hard not to be concentric.
They would shoot one ragged hole at 50 yards when we could.

I can barely keep my handgun rounds on the paper at 50 feet.
It would make no difference to me.

But my youngest brother has shot ragged holes at 50 feet.
He can tell the difference in accuracy for different handgun ammo.

Unless I'm shooting something with optics on it, I can't shoot / see well enough beyond 50' and would be lucky to even get on the paper at 50 yds. with a handgun. Old age has stolen this visual aspect from me. But if it is an accomplished skill you currently have, you might see some improvement in this area?

I had some concentricity issues loading for handgun, so I corrected the problem. I figure loading the bullet straight in the case would not be less accurate, so I do it that way.
