Finally happened! I'm so proud. Through the holidays and opening the kids presents with my Leatherman, Wife says you should get me one of these. :)

Me: Really? You'd carry a Leatherman? You know they are heavy (trying to see if she is serious)

Her: Yes, this thing has been really useful.

We are ordering the wingman as I have the sidekick and love it.

Finally, my Wife will be carrying a knife!

Oh Oh

Next she will be looking at a CCW purse, extra mags, and a "Flash Bang" bra.

You sir are a luck man.

I know of these things due to my wife and her girl buddies doing all that.

Like I tell all my 1911 and muzzleloader enthusiast buds, don't convert ANYTHING on her until you've had out to the range a few times.

I got my wife a leatherman to replace her knockoff broken swiss army knife this christmas. She said she didn't want a Leatherman because "they're too big". Found out Leatherman makes some very nice compact multi tools. I bought her one and it is smaller than her old knife, and more useful to boot.

She's been carrying in her purse every day, and I'm much happier knowing she has some basic tools to use.

The Sidekick came very very very stiff, but with a bit of work is smooth. The package opener is my favorite tool that is lacking on the Wingman. As I have both models, now I may mix and match! Now I may get her an Olight I2, small little flashlight that has been amazing.

The standard nylon web sheath that most (larger) leatherman come with have elastic sides. Its actually two layer, and in between you can stick other tools. In mine, I carry a Gerber Tempo flashlight on one side, and a Spacepen in the other.

Since this little ensemble is part of my EDC (every day carry), that means I always have a multitool, flashlight and ink pen available to me.

Enjoy you new leathermen!
