Copper wash bullets. Cons and Pros?

Unlike Mr. Morris's experience, some of my guns shoot more accurately with full metal jacketed bullets. Your results are probably gonna' be mixed results like mine. Try both in your guns to see the accuracy improve with one or the other.
Your difference in accuracy might be entirely acceptable depending on the type of shooting you do most. Like mine, plinking or targets, in a non competition scenario.

I don’t know the speed limit on plated, but it isn’t 1450 out of a Desert Eagle...

Copper Wash on rimfire is a waste. They then coat it in wax any way. I don’t need my rimfire copper colored. I need a nice pure bullet and good wax, an accurate powder charge is nice, too.

I've loaded many "copper wash" bullets... most definitely still available. Accura bullets (https://accuraoutdoors.com/ ) come to mind, Rainier bullets out of Tacoma WA; there are many. Personally, I've had no problem with any of them. I don't load them particularly hot, but for range ammo, they're outstanding and usually priced fairly well. Accura even posts a decently high velocity theirs are tested to, to prevent any leading. Very nice bullets indeed.

Accura are plated bullets. It says so right on their home page.
