These two safes are some that I'm interested in. I know that some of you high roaders out there know a lot more about this kind of thing than I do, so I ask you:

If all I've got is $700 to get this thing to my curb, would I be making a bad decision in buying one of these? If not, which is the most worthwhile? Or, should I look elsewhere?

I know I heard Cannon makes some decent stuff, and I'm mostly concerned about keeping determined drunk idiots from getting in the safe. It doesn't have to be 100% crowbar proof, but mainly just an extremely strong detterent. My only worry in my neighborhood is that some drunk kids (colloege town) walk by and have heard by word of mouth that I have guns (some of my friends have used the fact that they "know a guy" with cool guns to their advantage) and decide to pop open a window and have a go. But this is all besides the point...

What's the word guys (or gals?)

I hope it's ok cause i bought one, i like the curbside delivery, and since i wasn't home yet the delivery man was nice enough to wheel it into the garage for my wife, i'm happy with my RSC my only complaint is lack of a backup key instead of the keypad. someone will probably come along to berate it as an RSC not a safe but for my needs it keeps the kids out and the honest guys honest

Nice safe but my personal preference is a key lock versus a keypad.

But if your ok with a keypad that is a safe that will last you a good long while.

Same safe as mine

I bought the same safe last year only Canon called it the Executive then. I like it alot.
When I was installing the top shelving, I pushed down too hard to seat it on the brackets, & the particle board snapped at the cut-out. Canon sent me a new one, no charge, as soon as I called with the problem.
Be aware - altho they may say it's a 24 gun safe, I've got one side pretty much filled up with seven scoped rifles.
The only negative thing I've found, when comparing it to other safes, is this one doesn't have locking lugs on either the top or bottom. Most of the more pricey safes have top & bottom lugs.
The delivery guy was nice enuf to help me get it situated into the garage so I didn't have to leave it on the sidewalk.
