The problem with European gun makers, particularly FN, HK, and those other German and Austrian firms, is that once they design and manufacture a gun, they don't really respond well to criticism or suggestions from good old boys in the States about modifications or "improvements". They have already done the thinking, and they think their guns are just fine. Something like that is an insult to them. It is just their nature. Fortunately, we can improve on the guns we own, so modifying a BHP or other gun to our specs is big business. I would not hold my breath over FN/Browning ever fixing the trigger pull on BHP's anytime soon.

IMTHDUKE, where did you get the grips at? I got the same deal on a 75th from CDNN.....but need some grips like those.

I bit off and ordered one of the Israeli surplus. Hopefully it will be here in the next week or so. Under $500, and something I can put some C&S parts on if I so desire...

Atta' boy txgunsuscg! WHOO HOO! Another BHP fan! The IDF (Israeli Defense Force) Hi Powers are 100% FN. You'll have a great platform. Asking me to pick between a 1911 or a HP is asking the impossible. They're both MVPs of any All-Star line-up. The price questions are easier to answer, for every 1 HP shooter there are 35 1911 shooters. It's the same reason .410 shells cost 3x as much as 12 gauge shells. LOTS fewer people buying 'em.

I also emailed FNH USA to ask if they would ever market the HP again, and gave the suggestions I listed earlier. I received a polite "your suggestions have been forwarded to our product management team" back....

Here is my Israeli Hi-Power I love it!!!!

I'm jealous! My Izzy is one of those without the Star of David on it. I still kick myself for missing one of the Robertson Izzies that came in with both NAZI Waffenants AND a Star of David.
