Couple of questions regarding the laws...

The solution to the OP`s first question is to carry your important cards and stuff in a different pocket . Have your wallet with a few bucks in it to placate the thug. I do this when walking around the downtown area in Milwaukee.

As for the second question I don`t really know what I would do, but I guess I would do what I have to do to survive the encounter. Hopefully the bad guy will take the money and run.

If you were just robbed of your wallet and you call the Police when they show up that is when you tell them what happened and he got your drivers licenses, Credit cards and also your permit/license to carry. You should have all the numbers of all the cards you carry in your wallet written down so even if you just lose them you can replace them a lot easier. At that moment I don't think you will have a problem but to continue carrying until you get it replaced may be a problem.

As for shooting. You only shoot when you are in fear of death or grave bodily harm. If you shoot that is what you have to convey to the responding officers. Every case is different and every case stands on its own merits. Now if it was a female that was attacked by this guy who was 5'3" tall and weighted 100 pounds I doubt there would be a problem. For you there could be. Again every case is different.

I just found the answer to my own question.......It's called ''disparity of force''. As in being threatened with bodily harm and you can't physically deal with your opponet because of health or size.
