Top one an unreblued but pristine Post Office issue ( was told gun was modified due to it was found extremely accurate) 1917 Colt .45 acp that had a masterfully installed 50 s S&W rear sight and a proper height front ramp with silver thin line blade. The gun has an Icicle 3.5 SA and smooth DA , better than any of my other NewServices. It has a .004 barrel gap and those Sambar stag grips have a palm swell ! The lower 1909 is stamped as a .455 eley but another masterfully done conversion was done to .45 Colt ( note longer cylinder than the 1917) , still shoots .my Fiocchi .455 ok along with flextip .45 Colt ! The gun must be reblued by I really can't detect it as I normally can. I believe these guns came from a former New York State game warden . IMG_20190506_161611397.jpg
