It is almost that time of year again and I actual have money to buy the junk I need.:eek:Must not have bought that many guns. Any way this is my 2nd year at coyote hunting and am wondering what kind of gear should I chose for calling. I have a johny stewert pup call tape and a rabbit in trouble mouth call. But what is a sound that will make them come in. Also I have seemed to of got caught up in the belief that I can do better if I get a decoy. Is this true. If so what decoy should I get. Another question I have is when calling how long should I call? I know it is a lot of questions to ask but as I say a day with out knowledge is like a day without sunshine.

God Bless

Rabbit distress is a good standby. I think a decoy can make a big difference. I've used the FoxPro jack in a box decoy and there is a decoy built in to my Minaska Bandit all in one caller. The decoy gives the coyotes something to hone in on and focus on other than you. When it's windy set up crosswind from the decoy and coyotes will approach from downwind of the decoy.
