I posted a message about using sub gauge inserts on a Diamond Pigeon EELL the other day. Today was the first time I was able to shoot the gun. I have $$$ down on it but the purchase is not final til my test run today. The stock is cracked under the grip right at the trigger guard. The crack flexes open noticeably when closing the gun. So, I'm gonna take it back (it is a used gun) and decline the purchase. If the dealer comes off the price a good bit, I may consider it but will need a good stock maker to replace the stock. Any suggestions on where to get a high quality, correctly fitted stock and any cost ideas? Thanks.

Believe it or not a cracked stock is pretty common on the Beretta's. If it is sent back they will either match the wood extremely well or put a new stock set on it and send it back. Beretta is pretty darn good about it. The trim contours of the Beretta wood is hard to keep a stock on, but when you get a good piece of wood on it you can be sure it will stay in one piece for a long long time. If you like the gun keep it, Beretta will take care of it.
