Today I went to the local gun show (Crossroads of the West) in San Francisco.
It was INSANE !!!
Hundreds of people, you couldn't walk down the aisles without having to squeeze between people, and the lines for ammo were just outrageous. I wanted to get some reloads from Miwall, a vendor I tend to buy from regularly, and when they pointed to me where the beginning of the lines was, I had to ask one of the guys how he'd been in line for, he was in line for 45 minutes, and still had 40-50 people in front of him. Needless to say, I didn't buy any ammo there.
Prices for almost anything were up, especially ammo and tactical rifles. The show had only been open for 2 hours and already some vendors had sold out their stuff!
I got lucky and found a vendor that had a couple of boxes of .45ACP plated semi-wadcutters and Remington primers, so I bought his stuff and got out of there.
I honestly don't remember ever seeing anything like this. I hope all the crazies got what they wanted and the next show in April is a bit more "sedate".
