I got caught with my pants down in the .356 cast bullet department. I though I had a pretty good supply until I checked yesterday and found I didn't. Of course there are none to be found now. I have always bought my 9 mm cast bullets and own neither any molds or a sizing die. On the other hand I have a few .358 molds laying around and a pretty good supply of lead.so I found a .356 sizing die and ordered it and will convert .358 bullets into .356 ones.

I'm not setup to cast and not sure of how to obtain lead and other metals to alloy. I may learn someday, but I've still been able to find PC cast from various sources that are still at reasonable prices.

I’ve run .358 lead in my nines. Some even find that size is more accurate.

It depends on the gun. I had an RIA that needed .358s to shoot good. I have a PT1911 that requires .357 to get good accuracy and the chamber is too tight for anything larger. I have two other 9 mm guns that loads with .357 bullets won't chamber in. Too fat to go all the way but both are accurate with the .356 bullet. I have a recent gift 9 mm that I haven't slugged the barrel or tried a plunk test on yet.
