I'm looking to order a Crossbreed holster snapslide for my Taurus 740 slim. I can't decide if I should get the standard cut, sweat guard version, or combat cut version. Any suggestions? Any of you guys have one? I like the idea of a cushion between the gun and bare skin but am afraid it would make it too bulky.

When in doubt, go with the "body shield"...it will not add any noticeable bulk, it will protect your love handles from the slide release, safety lever, or any other business going on that side of the gun.....worse case, if you find you don't need/want it, you can have it cut off.

First of all, the model that will fit your gun is actually the MiniSlide. I just got that one for my Kahr PM9 which is a similar size to your 740 and so far it is great. I agree with rayban, you can always trim leather off, but you can't ever add it back on. I got mine with the full sweat guard. I do find that it's kinda hard to get my thumb behind the gun to pull it out (that's why they have the combat cut option), but I haven't decided if I want to cut mine up yet. I think I'll let it break in a bit before I make any decisions. I haven't taken any pictures yet, but I will when I get home tonight.

Here's a photo of my MiniSlide. I wear it IWB with a wilderness type belt inside my pants, and it's very comfortable at about 4:30.
