crossbreed holsters..cant find one!?

Has anyone attempted to buy or get in contact with crossbreed holsters lately?

Forgive me if this is in the wrong sections. Ive been wanting a crossbreed holster like no other. But have failed to get in contact with them and two different local dealers say they are back ordered till further notice. I had ordered one through a dealer over 3 months ago but finally canceled.

I understand some things take awhile to make and i dont mind waiting, just would like to have some kind of answer.:banghead:

Well, anyway I was just wondering if anyone else had this problem or have been able to find one elsewhere. Thankyou for listening to my rant.:(
 
Well I would just order it straight from them. But I guess I am a little gun shy now that these dealers tell me they are backordered for who knows how long and I cant get an answer or reply from them. Im starting to think im just getting the bs from the dealers but then again why cant I get a reply from crossbreed. :(

Anyone ordered in the last three months?
 
Ive had my crossbreed for about a month now. It took a full 6 weeks from the time I ordered it from their website, to the time it finally showed up in the mail.

Website says they're backlogged, but be patient, its worth the wait.
 
I just traded e-mails with Mark Craighead, the owner of CrossBreed, a week or so ago. I think he has some personal stuff going on right now, but as far as I know holsters are being delivered in the 4-6 week timeframe as advertised.
 
Comp-Tac, Galco, and Tucker all have their versions, too. Need more ideas? Simply Google "hybrid holsters." I just did and there are several reputable sources.

I suggest this only if your efforts with Crossbreed don't get you where you want to go. If you're wedded to that brand, then please disregard.
 
Comp-Tac MTAC is comparable, I got my last one in under a week. I like them better than Crossbreed. They come in black now, and NO the plastic clips are NOT junk.

I like the laminated leather back. The gun sinks right in to the single thickness panel. Great craftsmanship and materials.

I always appreciate stuff like that. Bravo Company treats you like that. I always get a magazine and stickers with my orders. Last time I bought a barrel, they threw in a sweet BCM hat, as well. My kid grabbed it up, though. :(
 
I pass his shop several times each week. Are you needing anything special/odd?

Thanks for all the replies. Im just going to order straight from him and wait. I'm not upset with them or anything I know they are busy and probably just havnt got caught up on emails or what not. I just thought maybe the dealer was jerking me around mainly. I wont be going back to that place. Id rather wait 3 months knowing its at least ordered rather than waiting on this LGS to stop pulling my chain.

Sometimes the wait sucks, but I love the holsters. I have 2 for my 1911's.

Crossbreed makes a very nice holster without a doubt. I ordered one for my xdm at the end of March and it took every bit of 6 weeks to get here.. Maybe 7 weeks.
They have always responded quickly to my emails.

Maybe it's the gun but I can't seem to find a holster anywhere for my xdm. I've had a Galco cop and sc2 backordered from optics planet for 5 weeks.

Something of an old thread, but how long was your wait in the end?

I ordered a somewhat specialized holster and double mag carrier on 11May and they shipped it today (any delays at this point are the fault of USPS).

That's one day short of six weeks ... I'm not too surprised, I don't know how much they have laying around waiting for an order to assemble but I'd bet that XD45 Kydex shells and XD45 magazine Kydex shells aren't commonly in inventory, and I did go with the horsehide this time, treating myself a bit.
