Short of having one made, I can't find one anywhere.
There's a company that makes a high-ride holster, but that's not going to be accessable in a hunting situation. Kahr sells a cheapo nylon thing and there are some strong-side and "tactical" thigh holsters. Not what I want.
Anyone know of a crossdraw?

Second the Simply Rugged Cuda

I have one for a Springfield Mod2 9mm and couldn't be happier. Mine is plain but you can fancy it up if you want and you can adapt it to a shoulder holster for hunting without altering it.

A good company, good product and reasonable price.

Interestingly I rarely see folks recommend a custom leathersmith. If you have an unusual requirement, or just want the best quality, you'll likely get it from someone who makes the equipment one piece at a time.

It takes a bit more work to first locate the smith you want, then communicate back and forth to determine your desires. But the end product is well worth the effort.

That holster at the bottom of Sherrick's page (for revolvers) looks like the kind of thing you'd want, and one big heavy belt to offset the weight.

"...having one made..." Having? Making holsters isn't difficult nor terribly expensive to start doing. Sort of like reloading in that it makes the endless search for stuff go away.
"...a cheapo nylon thing..." Is very likely from Uncle Mike's(didn't look) and it's not cheapo nylon. It's ballistic nylon. Very strong stuff that lasts for eons if not forever.
Mind you, the real issue with a DE is its size and weight. 4 pounds 6.6 ounces and 10.75" long will require a hefty belt as well as a pretty serious holster.
These guys list a small of the back/cross draw that runs $39.95. Don't know anything about 'em. http://www.theholsterstore.net/Pro-Carry-SOB-Small-Of-Back-p/procarrysob.htm
