I have a Savage 110FP in .308 WIN with a 20" barrel.

I am curious if anyone has studied different weight match bullets in this gun.

(basically I'm trying not to reinvent the wheel)

I have only used 168gr SMK bullets, and I'm satisfied with the results so far, I'm just wondering if anyone has tried 175gr, 190gr, or 210gr Match bullets in this rifle and what the results were.

Accuracy? Velocity? Is there enough twist to satbilize the 190gr and 210gr bullets?

So far I've had my best accuracy with the 168's, but I switched powder when I switched to 175 A-max's so I can't say yet that it's a weight difference. BOTH will shoot VERY well in my rifle . . .the problem is that the moron behind the rifle isn't a very good shot. (I'm working on it though. :) )

It seems to me like the 175's need to be seated closer to the lands than the 168's as i was also way off on my seating depth with the 168's but they shot great almost from the first load.

Have a good one,
Dave
