Finally got out to the range today with my 10/22. A few months ago I found a used 10/22 for a decent price at my LGS, and I had been wanting to put together an accurate .22 LR rifle for plinking and general marksmanship practice (with a possible Appleseed day in the future).

This particular rifle has a Kidd Ultra Lightweight fluted barrel (steel barrel with aluminum sleeve) with a Redfield Revolution 2-7x33 scope. The rifle weighs in at just a hair over 6 lbs. The trigger is still the OEM Ruger trigger group, so that will be the next upgrade.

I brought 4 rifles to the range for a rough sight in -- mainly just to get them on paper at 50 yards so I can fine tune at 100 yards at the next visit. The attached photos show a fairly rapid fire 10 shot group at 50 yards using Wolf Match ammo. The table I was left with was not great, and I couldn't find an appropriate stool. Basically, there was no way I was going to be able to really shoot for max accuracy today anyway. However, I'm pretty happy with the results already, and fully expect to be able to shrink this group by at least half or more when I'm REALLY shooting for accuracy.

Like the stock; looks to be very ergonomic and practical in it's design.

I'm pretty happy with the stock, but I may need to add some padding to beef the stock up a bit to improve cheek weld. The comb is a bit narrow for my liking. Can't beat it for the price, though.
