Cva .30-06

Hello all I just put a cva optima elite stalker on layaway at a pawn shop it is a .30-06 with a 6-24 scope on it the guy at the pawn shop said you can change barrels on it but I am having a hard time finding out if I can some sites say you can some say you cant can anyone help me out here. the gun was 270.00 with scope I only have 20.00 down on it should I get it or get the money back thanks
