Recoil is tough to quantify. I've never shot a .375 but I'd wager it's a good bit more.
As far as stock splitting and safeties bouncing, I bought this rifle with the knowledge that it may eventually need at least some tuning and/or bedding, if not restocking and/or a caliber conversion. The trigger is great so I'm going to shoot it as-is for a good bit but it will probably see some professional help before I take it after dangerous game.
I bought it pre-owned, not necessarily "used" off Gunbroker. They used a stock photo so I got really lucky on the wood.Hey Craig, the wood grain on your rifle is beautiful. Did you buy the rifle or trade for it?
Pretty heavy. Well over 9lbs without the scope. I put it on the scale but forgot to make note of it in my spreadsheet. Probably around 10.5lbs total. What's the weight of this rifle with 'scope?
I'm not using any factory ammo. Handloads consisting of a 400gr Hornady over ~100gr H4831.What factory ammo are you using?
