Just read a nice little story about 32 cal handguns. The accuracy from the CZ 83 blew all the others away (sub 1" at 10 yards). Has anyone got one of these in 380 that shoots that well? I'm inclined to pick one up but 32 is a little anemic for my tastes.

Yes, I have a .380 and it's very accurate and reliable. I can highly recommend one.

I want one of the .380's so bad I can taste it and I'm not a .380 fan. IMO they are the best looking .380 on the market!

Yep - My .380 is a tack driver. Got it last Thanksgiving and have been continually impressed with the gun in all aspects. It has also been flawless in function with all types of ammo. Extra high-cap mags are available at Midway for $39.49 http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct/?productNumber=126691 .

Had a little trouble finding a high rise pan-cake style holster - Allen's made a custom leather one for me, Carrying and concealing is also easy. They can be reached at.

If you want a little more power, why not skip the .380 and step up to the 9mm mak round? They are a bit harder to find, but they are there, and usually at the same price as a .32 or .380acp. The .380and 9mm mak share the same mag too.

I own a CZ82 in .32acp
What your friend says in regard to the accuracy of the pistol is true, mine is very accurate but it does have some quirks.
Because of the relation of the hand position to the bore, this handgun has more muzzle flip than any other .32 I own and I own a bunch of them.
Even though the gun is more hand filling and larger than my Kel-Tec P32, the locked breech P-32 has less perceived recoil than the CZ-82.

Even so, I consider the CZ-82/83 handguns as the pinnacle of .32 acp duty handgun design and they are well worth owning as these guns will most certainly outlast the Kel-Tec design in longevity.

As for the .32 acp being "anemic".
Have a good friend shoot you in the kneecap and report back on how anemic it felt.

Strong endorsements indeed. I want to pick a .380 that looks like it will hold up better than the Keltec/LCP designs. I'll be keeping my eyes open for an 83 in .380 in case that ammo ever becomes available again.

... and I think I'll pass on that 32 to the kneecap.

I would buy a CZ83 RIGHT NOW if I didn't already have a Bersa Thunder 380. As far as .380ACP pistols go, I like the size and weight of the Bersa and CZ. I've fired a Keltec, and I didn't hate it. Pocket pistols certainly have the advantage of higher concealment. When it comes to comfortable and accurate fire, though... I prefer the larger CZ/Bersa/Walther models.

+1 I've got two; blue and nickel. Very reliable and accurate. Purchased the nickel at whittakerguns.com and blue on gunbroker.com for a very nice price.

I have both the 82 in 9x18 and the 83 in 380. These are some fantastic weapons and accurate as the shooter. Every small frame gun owner should have at least one of them.
