I wanted something smaller than my full frame 9mm and larger than my CCW. I came across a CZ Shadow MR 918 Elite that was on clearance. I like the "Honest Outlaw's" gun reviews and recalled him having a lot of positive feedback on the Shadows. I got this for just under $900. Now I'm wanting for more information about the one I got. It seems to be something like a Beta release for the Shadow 2? From what I can see, mine does not have the universal optics mounting system that the Shadow 2 has? I like the slotted slide, the gold fluted and threaded barrel. Other than this, can you guys tell me more about this gun? Thanks guys, happy shooting. Oh BTW, first range day was yesterday. For as light a 9mm as this, I mean it really feels light, the recoil is amazing! I know the bore axis is low but WOW what a difference! Have yet to try the different back straps. I thought they were for hand size, mostly, but I guess their more for grip angle. Cool!. I have Glocks, but this is a lot like not a Glock.

What? A quick google for MR 918 Elite brings back stuff that looks like a Glock, which would have approximately nothing in common with a CZ Shadow 2. Shadow 2's are certainly not light, and they don't have interchangeable backstraps.
