I have a Daisy pump #25 that shoots a pretty good group at 30 ft,, but when using the "peep sight", it always shoots 7-8 inches high. No down adjustment left on the rear sight.
I use the rear peep sight because, my eyesight not being what it used to be, using the "v notch" rear sight makes it difficut to distinguish the the notch, front post and target.
Any suggestion about bring the rear sight down or possible aftermarket rear sights? Of course a scope is always an opiton I guess.

The model 25 combo sight is a compromise- a little too close to the eye for the open sight, but a little too far away for the peep. I've usually opened up the peep hole to make it work better for me. With the open sight, have you tried focusing your eye more on the front sight and target, while leaving the rear vee notch out of focus? It might take a little practice, but that works for me...

Good luck!

If you don’t mind doing a little tinkering, here’s a couple of options; either add some form of extension to raise the front sight (a simple piece of folded sheet metal held on to the existing sight with E-6000 or epoxy would do it), or build a simple peep with the aperture located lower to replace the flip sight…I made one of these for my 111 out of a small piece of scrap bed rail ( but anything 1/16” or thicker bent in a “90” should work) it’s not very difficult if you drill the holes first and then cut and file to fit.
I’ll wish you good luck as well ! E947CE38-2BA1-4403-BB51-655F8C68F238.jpeg
