For those who missed the guns at TGS Dan ammo in PA has some in stock. Get them fast because they will be gone by the end of today IMHO.

With a new in box rail version available for just $665 I think I'll avoid paying $500 for a gun with holster wear that some Swiss cop has been abusing for the last xx years.

But the German 228's are better quality than the new '228'. Newer isn't always better.

Newton sometimes it is better to remain silent and be thought a fool then open up your mouth and remove all doubt. LOL
The older P228s are simply better guns. The new P228Rs are parts guns. Left over pieces and parts they found lying around. What they did not have available they outsourced to the lowest bidder if you believe the rumors. I have not been able to confirm this part.
I do know for a fact that Sig in germany has older slides and that they have frames but no extractors and have no plans to run new extractors anytime soon. If you want a new parts gun assmebled by Exeter vs a 100% German gun more power to you. My guess is that these will be gone before the end of the week.
Also if you look closely at the auction you will see that you will pay $30 for shipping. You will also pay 3% for CC. That means for many the true cost of the gun OTD is $695+ $20.85 which before transfer fees is $715.85.
With Dan I am out the door for $515.00 $200 is almost 1000 rounds of 9mm. To me that is a huge value. YMMV
