Date for new S&W

Hoping someone can help me out on the date for a new wheel gun I picked up.

Just got S&W 13-1. S/N is 2D616XX. If anyone has a date hand, i'd appreciate it. Thanks!

your Smith & wesson model 13-1 .357 magnum was made in 1977; as per
the 3rd edition of Standard Catalog Of Smith & Wesson by Jim Supica
and Richard Nahas.

FootNote: 1977 started with 2D00001- and included 2D8000,
as per page #399 of the book mentioned above.
