Hi all. I want a holster for a Bulgie Makarov, but those silly Euro-flap deals aren't the best thing for CCW. Nobody seems to make an IWB specifically for the Mak, but I was wondering if anyone knew of a holster, perhaps for another gun, that would be a good fit. Is there a gun similar in size and contour that'd have a matching holster?

There are several holsters specifically for the Makarov. Fobus makes Makarov holsters, but they're not very good for CCW. Makarov.com has Falco IWB leather holsters with thumbbreak, I have one and it's pretty nice, but I recently got another IWB for the Mak that I like better, it's a Bianchi, made of single-ply cowhide with a metal belt clip. It's not Mak-specific, it's marked for compacts such as Glocks, but fits the Mak perfectly. It's much thinner than the Falco, and adds a lot less bulk, which is my biggest complaint about the Falco.

Makarov Holster

Dear Erik F.,

You might want to look at Wild Bill's Holsters at http://www.wildbillsconcealment.com/. I've dealt with him and he's a decent guy with good products. He's usually at the Dixie Gun and Knife show in Raleigh, if you want to see his products first hand.

Be well,

Scarface

I have to second the recommendation of HBE Leatherworks. I have one of Eric's IWB Mak holsters and it is just an awesome holster. I like it som much that I am going to order a holster, belt, and mag holder for my new Glock 27 from him soon.

Hope this helps,
John

If you want a nice IWB for the Makarov, try the Falco. I have one and I really like it.
These are available through Makarov.com.

Another strong recommendation for HBE. I have two holsters and a belt from Eric and can say that I haven't seen better quality anywhere. Several friends will back me up on this (including one of our moderators here!)

I like my Falco from Makarov.com (shameless plug for a good company)

I carried the Makarov everyday in that rig when it was my only handgun. Never had any trouble although it did feel a bit bulky. Perhaps a holster from HBE Leatherworks would be a good idea.

I've been carrying my FN Forty-Nine as of late, so the Mak has been on the back burner.

Hi Erick. You should try holster for Beretta 84F - it shoud fit yor PM if it's an older military pistol - round trigger guard, but the new PM-s from "Arsenal" with combat-like trigerguard probably won't fit. Funny, but nobody says a word about "Sickinger" :(

I make more mak holsters lately than I ever thought I could........which is very cool. Mostly tuckables.........there are LOTS of great holsters out there for the little Com Bloc shooters. Falco while being a bargain can be painful with the thumbbreak poking you...Id highly recommend getting one and cutting the break off of it.
Just get good leather for the little shooter.....they deserve it.
Shoot well.
