First off i do not own an AR or AK..not for any reason more then I dont have the extra money and now dont know if i want to pay the inflated prices. My question is very specific here. If they implimented a ban on owning posessing or anything on AR and AK type guns. What legally would have to he banned. Am i correct that the only thing federally and state wise that has to be purchased thru a f.f.l. the lower???.. if that is the case could the posibilty of a mass "turn em in" type law only end up a bunch of empty, no triger, no anything shells of a lower being turned in???. If there is no trace to an upper would there not just be a bunch of stripped lowers out there waiting to be built??.. this is in no way trying to start an aguement at all...just a very specific question.

As the law currently stands, the stripped lower receiver of an AR is the "gun." Of course, new legislation could change this.

An outright "turn in" type confiscation would involve compensation of the owners for the fair market value prior to the prohibition, under the "Takings" clause of the 5th Amendment. It's unlikely that this would happen because the government doesn't have the extra money.

One second question...

Is there any factory sold AR or AK that came from the factory with a 30 round mag?? Or is that an acessory that you buy after the fact??

My full-auto Colt M-16 came from the factory with two 30-round mags. My Colt SP1 AR-15's came with two 20-round mags each (with silly removable blocks to turn them into 5-rounders). It doesn't matter, because the antigunners would "ban" all of these. You can take no comfort from the fact that a magazine is original to the weapon.
