In case anybody else with a sizable investment in Hornady LnL quick change parts (powder dies, meter assemblies, etc) was wondering, you can use all that stuff on a Dillon 650. You need to make sure you turn the primer warning system so that it's out of the way of the powder measure body, but that's it.

In case you were wondering, I have the Hornady LnL quick change powder dies for each caliber, a meter insert (so I don't have to adjust the powder measure) for each caliber, and a universal expander from powderfunnels.com I'm also using my RCBS lockout die (until I get a few more rods for the Dillon powder check).

All I needed from Dillon was the caliber conversion kit (38special/357 in this case), which is Dillon's shell plate, locator buttons, and case feeder bits, and a tool head. I also bought a tool head stand for my 9mm toolhead (you can't really just lay it on it's side on the bench).

Looks like a pretty nice set up. Since you already have the Hornady stuff, might as well use it. Will the Dillon powder funnel work in the hornady powder die? I believe Dillon makes or made a powder die to attach a rotary style powder measure.

The reason I ask is, I have several RCBS powder measures and want to set one up in a tool head for my 44.

I see...I'd need to get the RCBS powder die then. I would need the linkage kit and I think they run like $70. I might be better off going with a Dillon powder measure since I don't have anything else for the rcbs. I just have an extra Dillon tool head, powder die and RCBS dies. I'd need a conversion, so the powder funnel will come with that. Since you have all the Hornady stuff, wouldn't make sense for you to convert it all.

I see you use a DYMO label maker...I use mine for everything! Lol

Im tryin to get into reloading myself. Was looking at the 550,seeing your set up im thinkin 650 now. Very nice set up!
