Dillon Terminator vs Pact Digital Precision electronic scales

Thoughts on which one to get? I'm tired of my beam balance scale and would like to relegate it to backup.

I have the identical one in RCBS green as the Pact. I've had it for 15 years. Mine has the AC adapter. Not only is it faster then the beam scale, but it is repeatable in that it will return the same reading no matter how many times you weigh the same powder charge. Once in a while it will read +/- 0.1 grain. But not often. As far as the dillon's electronic scale, I have no experiece...

Dillon's warranty is unsurpassed. Bought a digital scale from them (10?) yrs. ago that started acting up. Sent it in for repair and they sent me a new one.

Same warrenty with Pact and RCBS. Personal experience with Pact as I sent them my Pact One chronograph for repairs after 8 years of service. They sent me a new one and all I paid was postage one way. Pact makes RCBS scales among other electronics.

I like my PACT

I purchased the PACT digital scale sometime in 1995 or early '96. It has given excellent service, so I've never had occasion to try the other brands.

Dillon problems?

Have they fixed the problem that dillon was reported to have with the terminator? The terminator would not react to minute changes in weight as it was added to the pan. Such as what occurs when trickling a charge up to where you want it. It works well when the pan and charge is placed on the pad, but would not show changes as powder was added.

I know the pact/RCBS scale works, I've had one since '92. I used to trickle charges up to weight after throwing light with a Hornady measure, then trickling up to where I wanted it. Then I bought the pact dispensor, it has the IR port for partnering with the dispensor. That's another vote for the pact, you can get the dispensor later, with the dillon, you would have to buy the scale and dispensor.

Dillon vs pact

I have had both and prefer the Dillon. They both are pk but the Dillon seemed to run better on start up.

I've had both the earlier D-Terminator and the BBK. Dillon, hands-down.

I don't see how you can compare the D-Terminator to the BBK. That's like comparing a Remington 700P to a Accuracy International AW rifle.
