I don't know if anyone has already put this info on this site, but I just came across this info. This is the District of Columbia Court of Appeals decision on March 9 2007 which is in favor of appellants who argued that the Washington D.C. gun control laws violate their Second Amendment rights.

The site with the 75-page decision: (2nd amendment analysed pages 12-58)
http://pacer.cadc.uscourts.gov/docs/common/opinions/200703/04-7041a.pdf

There is also a link to this site on the website of Second Amendment Sisters, which is www.2asisters.org.

Does anyone know if there is a more recent court decision on this issue?

Also, supposedly there's going to be a US Supreme Court decision on the issue...I wonder if it was this case that got taken to that level.

Old news.

It's going to be appealed to SCOTUS. Not sure if the paperwork has been filed yet. Think the deadline to file is Aug 7. Then it depends on if SCOTUS takes the case or not. If they deny the appeal the decision stands. If they hear the case it will probably come down to Kennedy's opinion.
