I have a VA CCW.

If i travel to other states that have reciprocity w/VA, do i need a non-resident CCW in that state?

If i dont need, is it better to get a non-resident CCW for that state incase some LEOs arent that informed?

The very meaning of the term reciprocity is others recognize it as their own.
If a LEO doesn't know the law all the documentation in the world will not help you nor him.

If the state you're in has reciprocity with Virginia then your Virginia permit is valid. The thing you must remember is that their laws apply while you are there not Virginia's. Some folks forget that they must abide by the laws of the state they are in instead of the laws of their permit's state.

Here's a question. If I have a CCW in State #1 and I'm moving to state #2, which accepts state #1's permit, how long until I would need to get state #2's ccw to continue concealing? Is it when I get a residency, or a state DL?
