I've heard of this issue occurring with AR magazines and was wondering if anyone has ever experienced something similar with M14 mags. I'd assume it would be less of an issue with steel magazines (as opposed to aluminum), but you know what they say about assuming. I just want to make sure that keeping a couple M14 mags loaded in the safe will not shorten their lifespan.

Never a problem. The metal is thinner than on the seriously overbuilt AK mags, but it's spring-steel HARD.

Being kept loaded never hurt one ever.

Well color me paranoid, then. When you pay so much for this stuff, it's easy to forget it's designed to handle rough usage.
