where i work , i am required to where a shirt and tie, and jackets are usually just out of place. I realized very soon that my P99 was not a wise carry when dressed like this because i am rather thin (32 waist) and the buldge is pretty noticable.
So I have designated different guns to be worn with particular modes of dress. Does anyone else do this?.

Shirt and tie (work)= Keltec p32 in uncle mikes holster

casual (shirt untucked)= P99 in fobus paddle holster

Sheriff reserve duty= P99 in safariland triple retention

reserve training (tshirt tucked in)= Walther p22 in SOB holster.

I have a German made PPK in .32 coming my way soon, so it will be my dress up carry. prehaps get me one of those cool FIST shoulder holsters.....

AS LONG AS

You practice.

I have fourteen handguns; I wear them all (no, not at once). I modify both my dress and gun based on (perceived) threat level.
I work hard at avoiding trouble, because trouble sucks.

That said, my primary 'always' is a small easily concealed wheel.

Yep. Generally move between a Glock 17, Glock 27 or S&W 649, depending on how hot it is. Don't really need a wide assortment of CCW guns since my attire doesn't change very much. I don't own a suit or tie. All I wear are jeans, t-shirts and either sneakers or boots. Combined with being 6'/180#, this doesn't offer many concealment locations or options.

made simple by the fact that I only have two to choose from right now, since the Colt 1991A1 I ordered is taking forever.

no over shirt? no problem. Kahr MK40 IWB with an untucked t-shirt.

bit nippy out there? check. Beretta 92F with an untucked Dickie's workshirt, and/or coat.

no fuss, no muss.. once the 1991A1 *finally* comes in, I'll probably switch to that, as the beretta's a little thick in the grip.

I normally carry a pre-agreement Smith & Wesson model 60 in an inside the waist band holster. When that's totally out of the question—two hours in a dentist's chair, for example—I drop my Walther PPK in a jacket pocket.

All other things being equal, I'd openly carry my pre-agreement model 629 in a low-riding hip holster.

The featherweight Kel Tec P32 in shorts, or when I absolutely must be concealed (pocket carry).

Kahr MK9 when I have loose dockers slacks and might feel where I am going would put me in harms way.

G19, when bulky wear allows.

G19 if my state allowed CCW, all the time, except for summer wear.

Perfect CCW? A slim single stack version of a G26, with a slightly shorter barrel. Wait a tick? Am I describing a PM9? Maybe, after Kahr gets the bugs out of it. I would rather have a Glock however.

standing wolf, tell me about your PPK...............you know i love them...........got any pics?

To answer the original question -- YEP! Different modes of dress (dress pants, tucked in shirt & tie VS jeans & untucked shirt), require different CCW's ...

... I usually carry one of the above.
