You are so right about them being heavy when full. That is why it is for long term storage for me. I also have the 50rd and 100rd plastic ammo boxes in a closet that is my range and hunting ammo. I would never try to carry a full ammo can to the range.
Do you load for storage? If so, do you do anything special?
