I am looking for any information on the old forge fire flints that were a ceramic flint that lasted for hundreds of shots. I used them in all of my hunting guns in the 70's . Any still arround for sale ? Also how about the Russ Ham Frizzen shield, a special metal used to face the frizzen that caused great sparks. one more item , there used to be service advertised in the muzzle loader and Muzzle blasts that would duplicate your ram rod by taking a metal rod and grooving out wood that was glued arround it and rounded off with a horn tip. This gave a beautiful traditional looking rod that had the unbreakable metal core. It was epoxied together and I used them on all of my guns. Is anyone still doing this ? Thanks. [email protected]
