Do you run multiple errands and always carry?

Much better!....Just now moved this Remora (with Makarov) aft, to the 7:00-8:00 position. This computer chair here seems about the same shape/angle as the Toyota's seat. Jogging often with a sheathed 6" knife at 10:00, it had always seemed a natural spot.

The main challenge now might be finding a holster (and the right belt) with better ability to conceal under shirt tails, because the Remora OWB leaves at least a solid inch between the gun and the hip. This solid gray t-shirt is reportedly much worse than a pattern shirt.
The protruding gun's handle "prints" too much at 8:00, mostly when bending over a little.

W.E.G.: I appreciate the link and prescribed advice.
For now, the goal is to make the Sig 232 or Mak work. If the next holster has the ability to better conceal, might then try on my thicker Czech CZ-82, because it holds 10-12 rds. (which mag. is used) and has the best ergos.

I carry a Sig P238 in a custom clone of a Crossbreed mini-tuck at about 4 o'clock. Its an IWB holster and so comfortable that I often reach back to make sure its still there because I don't feel it. I wear it all day no matter what I'm doing (except when I'm laying on concrete or gravel under a vehicle). If you are having to holster/unholster every time you sit down or get in the car, something is not right.

My most frequently-carried gun is my G19. Most of the time, I carry it in a CBST, which is ridiculously comfortable.
Tagged. Next holster on the list determined. Thank you.
You're very welcome, though I'm not sure how different it will be from your KingTuk.

For whatever this is worth, my CBST has the horsehide backing. I had a Theis holster (which I really like) for a different pistol, and had planned on getting another for my G19. Then I stumbled onto a really good deal on my CBST in the classifieds on TFL. Couldn't pass it up & it turned out to be a great holster.

Glad to hear that things are improving. CC takes some trial and error, and it takes some practice.

A couple of things come to mind, looking at the above post:
Try not to bend. If you need something off the floor or a lower shelf, try squatting. Also, a patterned shirt will hide printing better than a single-color shirt.

A good belt is not cheap, but it's worth it. Absolutely. If you're carrying at the waistline, like many of us do, the belt is the foundation of your entire carry system. I have two gun belts, one brown and one black. I wear suits and ties most days, so it's necessary to have the right shoes, belts, etc. That also means no heavy-duty nylon belts or black basketweave for me.

The gun belts that I have are the only belts I wear, because I carry every day. I've used an Aker B21 for my brown belt for about 5 years. It's showing some wear and tear, but it's held up very well. Probably not The Best Belt on the market, but certainly serviceable without being outrageously prices. I think they're around $60. For black, I use a DeSantis Econobelt. It's not really intended to be a dress belt, but in the 3 years or so that I've had it, nobody has noticed the difference as far as I can tell.

Shop around. Here are a few beltmakers of which I'm aware:
DeSantis
Aker Gunleather
The Beltman
Bullhide Belts
Theis Holsters
Crossbreed
Virtually all of the major holter companies.

Good luck!

My wife is a true shopper who likes to sort of ramble around to certain stores taking her own sweet time. I'm a single trip buyer who makes a circuit to get what I want or need. I carry where it's legal in my state and avoid like the plague those places where I'm not welcome.

My current holster is an N8² and I'm quite pleased with it.

I also have a box of holsters. Since Illinois passed concealed carry I went through quite a few of them trying to find one that's comfortable. I also need to take it off throughout the day if going into a business that's posted with a no gun sign. The Remora Micro Holster is the most comfortable I've found, and is easy to take on and off. They're on sale for $20, so it's not much of an investment. Given the low price I was skeptical about the quality, but it's held up well.

JTQ: Thanks. Rangemaster went out of business over a year ago, unless they reopened.

We are much closer to Range USA (which is in Bartlett, you might realize).

Been carrying for over 50 years. Have discovered that Fobus or Masters paddle holsters with a good belt, fit my needs. I carry a full size 1911, or CZ 75, and sometimes a 4" 357. Put it on in the mornining at the 4 o clock positin, and take it off at bedtime.
Run all my errands armed and if I do have to take it off, like at the post office, or city hall, I just slip it off and use the lock box in the truck. Upon return it goes back on.
For those times when a small pocket 380 or snub is required a pocket holster works in shorts or a suit.

Finding the right holster is highly individual and expensive, good luck.

I agree with the OP that an OWB holster can be annoying when riding in a vehicle, which is a big reason I'm a fan of pocket carry. I find a compact 3rd gen S&W, or an Airweight .38 ,with the legally required pocket holster, to be very unobtrusive, and no one has 'made' me yet !! ;)

I have found a DeSantis SOF-TUCK IWB holster, along with one of their gun belts, to be very easy and comfortable to carry my Kahr CM9 at the 4:30 to 5:00 position. If I want to go with a BUG I have my KelTec P3AT in my right front pocket where it virtually disappears (my phone in the other pocket probably prints more than the gun does).

I also like to carry my Ruger SR9c in a DeSantis Mini-Slide where it stays very nicely tucked in close to my side at the 2:00 to 2:30 position.

I have an M&P 9mm Shield which I carry IWB in an Alien Gear holster. The holster is comfortable, even when driving. Now that the weather is cooler where I live I often carry this gun in a Bianchi OWB holster. It also is comfortable when driving. I found that even with the small Shield a good gun belt is needed.

Some random thoughts:

I am carrying a Glock G34, with an X200B mounted, in a DSG Arms Alpha holster, at about 0300, perhaps a bit more toward 0330, depending upon how one judges 0300. (Top of slide is just a bit behind the side seam of my jeans.) I could wear this rig all day, and just might do so, depending upon whether I do some heavy work in the yard. I could certainly wear this rig while running errands.

I do NOT un-holster to sit in any vehicle I may drive, which could be a Toyota Tundra, Jeep Wrangler, or Honda Civic. (I drive a Tahoe at work, but that is while wearing my duty rig, so off-topic here.)

I do not leave my weapons inside an unattended motor vehicle, with very few exceptions, such as entering some federal facilities. (As a peace officer, carry into a post office is OK, at least within my home state, where I carry for "official purposes," as the sign says.) Burglaries of vehicles are just too common, nation-wide and locally, for me to want to leave firearms inside unattended motor vehicles. Lock boxes and cable locks can mitigate the threat, but not eliminate it.

Noted instructor/author Tom Givens has written on the subject of the places where his students have been involved in shooting incidents. I definitely want my pistols to be ON my person when approaching and leaving vehicles!

In my opinion, 0400 to 0500 is not a tactically optimal place to carry a handgun, nor is it comfortable for me, especially while seated. The tactical part refers to the distance from normal arm positions to the holster, and then the distance from the holster to a normal shooting position. Plus, reaching to the rear of one's waist area puts the arm partially into an arm-lock position, which could provide an opportunity for an assailant who may be within range to exploit it.

Pocket carry causes issues when trying to get to the weapon quickly, and then draw. When seated, some pockets become inaccessible. When on one's feet, but bent at the waist or hips, access can become complicated. Pocket carry does have some advantages when standing or walking upright.

I n carry a HK 45 full size-not a small gun by any standards. I use a DeSantis scabbard OWB at 3 o'clock and it is on my hip unless I'm taking a shower or asleep. I've been carrying that combo for so long that I feel uncomfortable without it. Getting to that point takes time and the right holster and you will have a full holster drawer like the rest of us. Good luck.
