DPMS Sportical $500.

I would recommend the S&W, but $700 is on the high end for a sport. The last DPMS that I saw had an out of spec lower, with a super tight mag well. I was watching a guy try to shoot it and thought it wasn't cycling a round when in actuality the mag wasn't fully inserted, but the mag well was so tight that a fully loaded mag wouldn't drop out.

Or look at a PSA. For $700 you can get an upper with a high quality FN barrel and a lower with better than standard furniture.

With the price of high quality AR15s the way they are I'd go with Colt or BCM. Otherwise I'd go with the S&W Sport (should be about $550).

If in doubt, avoid DPMS. They do not have a good track record. And with excellent ARs selling for $700, I'd cough up the extra dough and get something that you can be confident in.

If that's what you want then go for it.....I've owned 1/2 a dozen DPMS AR's and never had a problem with any of them......The only place that DPMS is questionable is on the internet......
