DPMS vs. Bushmaster

I guess it is all a matter of taste.........colt, Bushmaster, RRA, Colt, Dpms, and etc all make good rifles.......another one to look at if you want to spend the money is www.jpar15.com.........I was down at my gun club when the owner was trying out a couple of his rifles, and they shot really good also..........I just put a JP trigger on mine yesterday, haven't been to the range yet, but, the weather is warming up next week..............

It's not even fair to compare DPMS to a real rifle.

DPMS vs. ASA, now there is a debate.

It's obvious you haven't looked at DPMS's website or their catalog, they have a lot REAL rifles that cost a lot of money...the average person is looking for the best deal out there with a reputable company and DPMS and most of the others fit that bill....If you want a competition rifle already setup, and reasonably priced go to jpar15.com...........:neener:

jem375, you are correct. I don't pay much attention to DPMS (or anyone elses) advertising. I have however seen a lot of their rifles, but not as many as our gunsmith. ;)

What a gunsmith sees. Yet you read comments from people like John Farnam, Ted Yost and so forth, and they give DPMS very good ratings. To me in pistol lines, I think Kimbers are crap because of the examples I see, and handle. Everyone puts out lemons. Look at the AR board , my Bushy jams, my Colt has FTE's and so forth. Quite a few PD's around me are using DPMS rifles with zero problems.

SteyrAUG.....Well, to each his own, I have yet to see a DPMS fail or have to go to a gunsmith unless to modify or to put a match trigger in and etc.........Normally a rifle would go back to the manufacturer if it was a equipment failure, not a gunsmith anyway...............

Ford vs. Chevy..... FWIW, I have two DPMS rifles and both have functioned perfectly. Fit and finish is EVERY BIT as good as my buddies Bushys or Colts.

I will say that John Holliger recommends RRA over them all..

However, with Bushy facing several lawsuits for the sniper shootings, I would say it is a good idea to support them right now. They need our help and there is no better way that buying their products.

Bottom line, either way you will NOT be dissapointed, and most importantly, welcome to the Black Rifle Club!!!!!!!
