Dressin' Up My J-Frame

If it's not too much trouble could you show be a rear view of those PC grips?
that's the only picture I have. They are slightly thinner than the boot grips but still fill my meaty hand nicely. The way they're shaped more or less forces my hand into a high grip and the extra length touches my little finger. That helps me with control and felt recoil. For me, they are a better choice for this gun. Hope this helps.

Glassman:
Thanks

I probably won't jump on that one, since I already have the Hogue Monogrip( a little cheaper, but WAY uglier) and it's about the same size, without the width. If I had it to do over, I'd probably get the grips you have. They are beautiful, and for the price, unbeatable.

My Hogue Cocobolo was about 80 bucks, shipping included. They are smaller, but I think yours look better.

I do like smooth grips for hard recoiling guns, though.

Thanks again for the pictures.

I just talked with Paul in CS at S&W - got a Pro 60 grip (411740000) on the way for my new 3" 63. With another pewter S&W buckle, it ran ~$58 shipped. Free s/h today - Cyber Monday special.

PS Thanks, glassman & thunder173!

Dressed up J frame

Nothing special, but I got rid of the Hogue monogrip and went to some Hogue Cocobolos that I got for under $30 since they were "defective." There is a small crack in them, but they look nice and the price was decent.

Anyway, I am thinking of putting a pair of wood grips on it. I think it MAY help improve my grip and if nothing else make it look nice.
As far as wood grips go, I prefer Altamont boot grips on my Model 60-9:

In the past, I've used Herrett's Shooting Stars:

Anybody interested in buying a pair of Esmeralda grips for a J-Frame?

I bought these ivory-wood grips from Esmeralda on a whim last year, and when I fitted them to my 442 realized it was like putting nice rims on a car I was going to take off-roading. I carried the 442 in an IWB holster for two days and then took the grips off, opting for a Hogue Bantam instead.

Purchase price was $99, but I'll sell them for $75 to anyone interested.

Wood grips look so pretty on those j frames. I have tried a few different grips but I just keep coming back to the stock ugly uncle mike's rubber grips. They conceal very well and they allow me to shoot well also.

Model 60 -

First pic where the M60 was pimped out with a set of Ajax faux Mother of Pearl grips. And the Model 63 w/ Targets - the Targets will also fit the M60, sort of a round to square butt conversion.
Second pic of the M60 (the way she rides now) is factory numbered magnas with a Tyler T-Grip adapter.

The 'Pro 60' grips looked and felt so good on my 3" 63, I decided to get a new 60 Pro yesterday!
