As much as I hate to admit it, I gave into the panic and ordered a complete BCG from these guys 2 months ago. I normally stick with higher end parts and had they been available, I'd have saved myself $20 and bought a spikes full auto BCG but instead, ordered one from DSA because I "thought" they were in stock. 2 days after placing my order, I got an E-mail telling me they were back ordered.
So, my first question is has anyone here ordered one lately and if so, how long did it take for you to get?
My next question is, what is the bolt made out of? I'm hoping its 158 carpenter steel but my guts, telling me it isn't. I can't find detailed specs listed on their website anywhere.
I realize I should have researched this before I ordered but as I stated above, I gabe in to the panic and rushed to finish a build. I'm not overly worried about it being a lower quality since this is a.budget build and I do have a couple higher end AR's, it would just be nice to know the specs.

I ordered an upper form them, got a confirmation Email immediately, and have heard nothing since. But since my credit card has not been charged, I'll just be patient, no point pestering them about it at the moment, its "only" been four months.

I haven't pestered anyone yet but I am a bit annoyed that the item wasn't listed as out of stock. Had I known it was, I would have back ordered a better product for less money. I went with them because I thought it was in stock.

I'm with you, my Email confirmation didn't say anything about being back ordered either. Definitely bad form, but unfortunately a lot of previously reliable gun businesses couldn't stand up under the load of the panic.

This will be the last time I order from them. I normally buy my stuff from palmetto and Spikes and although the wait is usually long for Spikes, their products are worth it and they tell you up front what the wait will be.

It's the same with RGuns.

I ordered a nickel coated bolt and phosphate carrier, neither "out of stock".

I'm told it'll ship in four weeks, at the earliest.:banghead:

Ditch-Tiger,

I know it is no consolation on the delay but, I have ordered from DSA a number of times and have not had any quality question.
My opinion of DSA is that they make quality product and (so far) have not shipped anything sub-par to me. Additionally, they don't communicate well. I feel that they would have better customer relations if they were more 'talkative' with clients. Add a person to send product up dates to clients and notify of changes and other items that are available. Happy buyers and sell more product. It would make me feel better about my orders.

With the current stupidity, any seller with quality product is slammed. The makers are pumping out product as fast as they can, they will fill the demand some day.....

Time crawls when anticipation is involved.
