Well guys, duck hunting starts tomorrow. I mainly shoot over the Humber estuary over the coast, sometimes inland. Unfortunately i lost my dog last season and the pup is too small to use until next year!
I will go tomorrow and shoot with a buddy.

For me it doesn't really get going until october time. we get quite a lot of migrant ducks arrive then.

So i have another month of Roe bucks then into ducks big time.

You guys have no limits on ducks, correct? Also, roe deer is something I've always wanted to hunt. The little buggers intrigue me.
However, I definitely would not want to put up with your inane gun laws.

Have a good time tomorrow!

What species of ducks do you get there? I hunt North Dakota and Minnesota and shoot a wide variety of puddle ducks and divers but no sea ducks.

Interlock, do I understand you to say that you will be duck hunting with no dog at all? How in the world do you manage that, especially with no bag limit? A lot of rowing, I imagine.

ducks... and geese

Hi guys,
I hunted with my mate who has a dog.

I shot a greylag goose saw a few duck nothing in range.

We get Mallard, Wigeon, Teal, Pintail, Gadwall, Pintail, Shoveller and tufted duck... plus a few others. Goose wise we get pinkfront, canadas, greylag.

I really enjoy my wildfowling. I like it better when it's really winter.

I've hunted waterfowl since the age of 14, only thing I could do on public land in Texas and I got hooked on it. :D I don't like taking a dog to the marsh during teal season as the gators are still active. Dogs have been lost out there. That's another reason I'm not going this early. Besides, I agree with you, cool weather just goes with duck hunting. Ain't right to be sweatin'. LOL
