Duracoat finish question

Does anyone have any experiencehaving done or applying duracoat or similiar type of finish to there guns? If so is there any kind of finish to simulate the M40A1 rifle's finish appearance. Also at what cost? Is this something that one could do at home? Any details regarding this matter would be great, thinkin of giving my M1a scout and M4 a makeover. Just havent decided whether I want to go with the old school tiger stripe pattern for the M1A as they did for the M21 sniper back in the day or whether to get an M40A1 type of camo pattern for it. Any info would be great thanks
 
Duracoat, like any other paint, can be sprayed from a standard air brush (don't buy the crappy chinese air brush that Duracoat sells though). It is easy enough to apply but if you are looking for a specific color match, I have found that they do not match well.
